O Bayley & Sage opened in Wimbledon Village in the autumn of 1997. We are a speciality food store selling over 2000 lines of great tasting food. We believe that food should be as natural and as unprocessed as possible. Think of an apple plucked off a tree and eaten straight away, its crunchy, its juicy and sweet. We want all our food to be as close to that experience as possible.

Our offering includes an extensive delicatessen counter with over 130 cheeses, fresh produce, an unusual and interesting range of breads, pasta from Italy, a large range of oils, an olive bar, wonderful Italian honeys, biscuits from France, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Britain, fabulous coffees and fine wines.

We like to sell food not packaging. Taste the difference between Parma ham freshly sliced from the deli and that bought in a gas sealed packet. One is moist, sweet and melting the other is just …OK.

We sell unpasturised cheeses where the flavour is allowed to develop over time and the cheese continues to mature and ripen. We allow our cheese to breathe instead of enveloping them in plastic, which keeps them sterile and tasteless. We delight in selling Poilane bread – the traditional slow fermented French Sour Dough bread by taking yesterdays dough and adding it today’s flour.

We only sell free range meat grown in the British Isles and prepared by a Q Guild butcher. Our fish is line caught of the Cornish Coast and sold in our store the day after being caught. Our pasta is allowed to dry slowly, our orange juice is freshly squeezed, our shortbread is made when we place the order.

To complement the store we also have a variety of hampers suitable for any occasion, whether it be a birthday, engagement, anniversary, welcome home or traditionally Christmas; they can be sent mail order direct to any address in the UK.

Real Food, Real Inspiration.
